10 months!

Easton Mathis you are 10 months old today! What?!?! I can not believe in 2 short months we will be celebrating your 1st birthday. You are the sweetest, most content, and funniest baby. You are all over the place, but your favorite thing to do is sit and watch all the action. I love you baby boy!!! You make my heart so happy.

Happy 7th Birthday to my sweet Sarah!

7 years ago today, Tobin and I were blessed with our first child. A sweet baby girl. And let me just say; it really does seem like yesterday we were at the hospital having her. She has brought so much love, laughter, tears (good and bad..;) and pure joy to our lives. There are times I look at her and my eyes fill with tears, because I am still overjoyed that I am her mother. God chose US to be the parents of Sarah Avery, and I couldn't be more thankful. Happy Birthday to our first baby. I hope your day is filled with all the blessing and love your little heart can hold. We love you sweet baby!

The life of a boy..

His 2 teeth bit hole 3/4 of the way through his tounge. No stitches, but definately have to start an antibiotic. On another note..look how amazing his eyes are!

Country living..

One of our favorite things about the country is all the baby animals we see in the Spring. So far we have spotted..baby lambs, horses, cows, and today we found this in our rose bush. It is right outside our window, so when they hatch we will see and hear the babies. We had a mama lay her eggs in the same spot 2 years ago, and it was amazing to hear them and watch them grow. Love Spring Time!!!

Goodbye Spring break!

Last week my beautiful girl was home all day everyday. All three of my babies were together every day, and I could not have been happier. Last night as I was putting her to bed I realized how much I missed having her home all day. For 4 years it was just me and her, and now that the boys have come and routines are in place I forget just how much I missed her being with me. She is the silliest little girl, has the biggest heart, a smile that will melt your heart, and she is my first baby! I love her so much it scares me sometimes. :) I am so proud of the little girl she has become, and I can't wait to have her home for the summer. When I put her to bed last night..I found this letter she had written. With tears in my eyes I kissed her goodnight, and in that moment I knew I would change NOTHING about my crazy, joyful, sometimes insane, lots of belly laughs, and tons of kisses life. Nothing...

Our day at the aquarium..

My mom and I took the kids to The Sealife Aquarium in Grapevine. I think it was worth every penny. It was very interactive, and all the tanks were eye level with Reed. The kids were in awe at every corner. All I could say to them was how amazing our God was..that he created each and every creature we saw!

Mathis Garden 2012

The excitement surrounding this garden is more than I can explain. We had a "semi" successful garden last year; until the summer heat let us have it. All winter we couldn't wait to start again. We learned a few lessons, and changed a few things. These are the memories I love to make with my kids. I can not wait to harvest our crop..green beans, watermelon, strawberries, okra, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, jalapenos, and corn.

Parent of the Year goes to...(drumroll)

ME!!!! And how do you receive this prestigious award? Send your child to school in shorts and short sleeved; while being completely oblivious to the freaking cold front blasting through!!

Happy Birthday to my love!!

Today my sweet husband turned 32!! I can honestly say I am blessed,way more than I deserve, to have him as my husband. He is my strength when I can no longer stand, my smile when I feel like crying, my happiness, my joy, the BEST father that walks this Earth, and my very best friend. I have loved this man for over 15 years now, and I can honestly say I love him more today than the day I met him.

Happy Birthday Tobin Mathis; I love you more than you will EVER know. Thank you for being you. You are my Sunshine, and I could not ask for more!

Kisses

While Reed was eating a pickle today I asked him to give me a kiss (without the pickle in his mouth of course). Which didn't matter, because he promptly told me "No, mom I eating a pickle." His mommy has been replaced by a pickle..sad day for me! :(

Happy 7 months Easton!

This sweet baby boy, who once weighed 6 pound 12 ounce, turns 7 MONTHS today! Can you believe it? It has been a busy month for this sweet boy..he had tubes put in both ears about a month ago, he also had his first run in with Croup, he started going to the Church nursery, and he started CRAWLING this week!!! I wish time could slow down just a bit, because knowing he is our last baby makes it so much harder to see time just flying by. :(

WE LOVE YOU Caleb Easton. The Lord knew that you belonged with our family, and boy am I so glad he chose us.

Boys will be boys..

Sarah was awarded a trip to the treasure box at school, and she chose a little man with a parachute attached. Do you remember those? Well, yesterday Tobin and her were outside throwing the man up in the air..but obviously that isnt enough. BECAUSE he came home today with a brand new sling shot..yup I said sling shot..so they could launch that poor man in the air. While in line to checkout a lady asked, "A sling shot huh?" He said, "It's for my kids." Ask me if his kids every shot it? Nope..and I dont think he will share. :)

Happy 6 months Easton Mathis!!

Wow!! You are 6 months old sweet boy! The last 6 months have been such a blessing. You are growing so fast..I wish time would slow down just a hair. I love you so muh Caleb Easton Mathis, and I am so thankful the Lord chose me to be your mom!

OLD vs NEW

Tobin using the flashlight on his iPhone to look up his nose, so he can find a hair that needs to be pulled! And yes, he had tweezers in hand to help with the procedure. And, yes there were tears in his eyes when he pulled it out!!!!

VaCaTioN!!!

So, we are planning our first vacation as a family of 5. We havn't attempted it yet, because we either had a baby in tow or I was pregnant!! We are thinking Corpus Christi..any of you out there been? Any suggestions??

Thank heaven for Daddy..because I sure wouldn't do that!!!

So I came home yesterday to Sarah riding, actually hurling, her bike up a make shift ramp that Tobin made. It consisted of 2 bricks, 2 pieces of 2 x 4's, and a piece of partical board. She would start at the end of the driveway and peddle peddle peddle, and boom over the ramp she flew!!! NO FEAR I tell you..NONE!!!!

Where oh where has the Mathis Crew gone...

Sadly, this is my first post in over a year. The last time I posted Sarah was about to start Kindergarten, and Reed was barely crawling. NOW Sarah is in 1st grade, and Reed should be joining a circus!! haha..And as you know we added a new addition to the gang. Caleb Easton was born in July, and will turn 6 months in 2 weeks. Here is a brief summary of what the kiddos are up to:

Sarah: She recently received an award for "A" honor roll, is in gymnastics and absoultely takes after her uncle, growing faster then I can believe, she has a servants heart , and will one day be an amazing artist!!!

Reed: He is into everything..in fact at the moment he is trying to climb on me and take the computer..he is talking more and more every day, has the most passive personality, such a boy, and will one day make a women very happy.

Easton: Had tubes put in his ears yesterday...after 4 months of on and off infections..is starting to sit up by himself, is an AMAZING sleeper, and has discovered his voice.

Since I axed Facebook I am going to try and post here, so I can keep in touch with the outside world. :)
